I have recently attempted to use Chinese Subdomains and turned out to be a partial success! Wikidot subdomains don't allow two hyphens in a row - when wanting to register something like at Wikidot: 曾勁驊.wikidot.com which realistically is xn--wgrv48bwp1b.wikidot.com it won't work.

Yeah, there's explicit code in Wikidot to stop double hyphens. I'll ask why, and if possible, get this restriction removed.

I just tried to make a site at test--site.wikidot.com and got this error message.

The data you have submitted contains following errors:

  • Please use only lowercase letters, digits, and single hyphens in the name
