CSS changes for the tabview according to rainbow colors?
Steven Heynderickx wrote on 23 Oct 2009 17:20
If one ads a tabview in a Iron Giant template… It always comes out blue (wrong blue)
I had a go at the CSS for the tabview and made a test…
Maybe we could implement it into the themes of Iron Giant

Definitely!
I assume it's the code starting with:
and that you use the same color codes as for the rest of the theme? E.g. for Orange Juice, it's:
(I generate the themes automatically).

And indeed if you enter the same colors as the base colors of you theme it will look right…
BUT!!!
There is this image I used Button.png… and it has (since it is a png it is possible) transparentcy properties… So you need to add this file to wherever you want to use this…
Somebody also asked a question about this and I explained some more @ http://projects.wikidot.com/thread:78
So if you like this… maybe you should also implement it for the top-nav-bar… so people can easely change it to the color they like. Yes… I know… a lot of themes so a lot of work.

Just added it to my site… and it looks great! :)
The main firmware page and in the live template are the two places I use tab-view.

I am - very happy with how it looks. But I'm getting a strange problem that is preventing me from posting comments when I add the comments module to a tab. My code is right (not hard to get wrong), and I don't think CSS has anything to do with it, so I'm assuming it's some kind of bug. Posted about it on the Monday blog post as no Tuesday rant exists yet ;-)

If you remove my fix, does the bug still exist? If not then its better not to mention it here… people are scared of bugs… if it gets fixed please remember to mention it here.

Well as I said I don't think CSS has anything to do with it.
I commented out your CSS and tested it again after a cache clearing, etc — but no change. So your CSS isn't the problem ;-)

Steven, I've tried this in the rainbow and minimalist themes and it looks really nice. Am uploading the new versions now. Thanks a lot for this!

@ Themes.wikidot.com several themes are promoted… with a preview wich is using a standard content… maybe the tabview should be integrated and also a forum-page and the editor and whatever I am forgetting but what can be designed using CSS…
Maybe we can see in that way other "not well designed" features of a theme that appears to be finished
