I think there's been a misunderstanding based on assumed knowledge. http://site-name.wikidot.com is actually a website that you should visit… Shane assumed you knew about it.
Basically, if you want a website that is already taken, but is abandoned, then you can have it. All you need to do is report the site at site-name

That seems to be a mistake… lucky I'm an administrator of that site.
I've changed the permissions to enable registered Wikidot members create pages, but only edit the ones they created. I'm not sure if this is what Pieter wants, but it seems logical for now. In addition, I've invited you to be a member of the site.
