We've pushed out the new Join module.
This works a lot more smoothly than the two old modules: it does registration / sign-on / joining in one step. Once we've tried it and agreed that it works, I think we can remove the system:join page and put the Join module directly on the nav:side.
In the monodot and monobook templates, the Join module would need styling to fit, so I'm not going to do them

I was just about to write about this to today's rant thread. Well it seems that I don't need anymore… For example and support, I dug up a research that says that one of the Wikipedia's key success elements is its easy participation.

Oh, there seems to be a lot of discussion about this at your blog in the designs section. Now I feel stupid, glad I didn't go ranting about it. Then I would feel even stupider.
