I've just come to realise a horrible way to destroy forum threads.
All one needs to do is use a javascript redirect in their forum comment (capable via iframes) and you will never be able to view the forum thread without disabling javascript. Only then will you be able to view the offending forum comment.
But alas! If you're viewing the forum comment with disabled javascript, you won't be able to delete the forum comment; your javascript is disabled!
I will prove this by responding to this thread with an evil comment.
In the mean-time, we need to find a solution to this sort of thing. Like, a /norender/true for forum threads.

I'm so sorry about the redirect!
I meant only to demonstrate how you can destroy a Wikidot forum's thread in an attempt to push a fix for it.
You should still be able to view the previous page, but you would have to disable javascript in your web browser.
See this discussion for more details.

Helmuti ! How did you manage to edit it?

I have really fast and quick fingers…
But it was a hard word to detect , that noredirect/true and norender/true does not help.
Rob did this in a serious similiar manner with an iframe of his solution-test, and made the eror with 3 /// after "http:" - the result was - "this site cannot be found " on my browser..
It was a hard way to stop teh rendering of the post to edit it…
I think we should post a pro:ticket about this !
We need a /norenderpost/true for this ….

How about disallowing iframing in forum comments?
Portfolio
Well, I would move against that — it would disallow for the poll application to be embedded. Besides, iframing code is extremely useful for demonstrations at the community portal. iframing code also makes Wikidot much more powerful, because I don't know any other web-platform that allows this in forums.
We just need a way to edit/delete forum comments without having to render them first… just in case this sort of thing does happen.
To be honest, this isn't a big priority. This example is probably the only iframe hack within forums on Wikidot.
358: Comments-Threads with iframe cannot be edited
we need a kind of noiframe/true..

Nah, I reckon your earlier post was better:
That way, if somebody manages to have a remarkably screwed up post comment via other means, we'll still be able to fix it.
Yes, this is better - a level higher …
