As per weneed:194 on the blog site, here is my comment:

I can link directly to this page: https://www.wikidot.com/account:you/start/profile/

But I cannot link directly to the APAvatarModule that is used at wikidot.com

The module would:

  • Have a more user-friendly name, e.g. [[module ModifyAvatar]]
  • Allow a user to upload a new avatar
  • Show the existing avatar
  • Show a short description, i.e. "The buddy icon (also known as 'avatar') is a small image that represents you on Wikidot.com. To be more precise - the buddy icon appears near users' screen names wherever possible as you have probably noticed."

Could someone turn this into a design specification? I can't see the module needing any parameters, as it would change depending on which user was viewing it, to show that particular user's avatar. And it only has one function.

If I'm not mistaken, the module already exists… it just can't be used on any wiki other than wikidot.com and it has a difficult-to-remember name (APAvatarModule).
