why have you disabled the editor toolbar ?

I first thought there was problem with page loading. Ctrl-F5. Then Firebug, aarrgh they have disabled the buttons! Removing basic things like this without notice is not fair! You turn the users crazy.
Edit:I am also a user of Confluence which gives the choice to the user, not the developer !

Hmm, how can the user disable the buttons if they want them? That is a developer-only choice because only the developer can change the CSS.
It may have been done to make the forums easier to use, or could even be an accident. Hmm
Either way, this is another change I like, along with the recent removal of "my account" in favour of a logout link :) So I'm hoping it stays like this :)

False ! On other sites, a click on a button, a piece of javascript ?, a cookie and the choice is left to the user. Ask Gabrys !
You're not alone !

This should be a user choice, set by hiding/unhiding the toolbar. The main problem is that any change to the Wikidot code takes ages. It is like pouring treacle. I've been hoping for a simpler user-configurable editor (and especially, comment) UI for about six months.
This is a hack, done from impatience in CSS per-site. The justification is that forum users don't need the toolbar… Squark did a nice job of also hiding unused / useless buttons. Less is more.

Sorry. Was going to mention it, got distracted.
I'm trying to clean up the page, it is too messy. Am also going to remove that Rate module, it has no place here.
