I think it's created specifically for the themes site. I know that there are thumbnails generated for each theme, which normal wikidot sites do not have.
Might not be possible at the moment - as it's probably designed specifically for that site.

I'm afraid the theme previewer is a specific module, see here http://www.wikidot.com/doc:themepreviewer-module
It accepts the name of a page (the theme), extracts the CSS code from that page and applies it to the current page.

Yes, this module was created especially for the themes site. We do not plan to do something similar in generic, because it would make too much mess and take too much resources.
