I see the pro's of your proposal, but I think more important issues are pending then this… so once forms work for example… maybe I'll come back and vote. But it'a good idea although it's more work to type [b] or [/b] then **… but for clearity… Yes I see your point.

Well the "[b]" one was an example, as I see a lot of people typing bbcodes like that all over my website and need to keep correcting them.
Where this would be particularly useful is to make an easier way to use includes.
Instead of typing this: [[include csi:include:analog-clock]]
Someone could type this: [clock] or even ccc and it would resolve to being the same as the include code shown above.

It has his supporters and reputation, probably some copyright issue that it's not implemented in wikidot. And yes a good proposition but to me it's a matter of priorities.
