Why are you posting this all over the place?

I just posed it on relevant to CSI pages. I think its about 4. It's a promotion for what is possible with CSI's I am trying to motivate people… CSI's can also be simple, so try it… that is the message. :-O ohh… I see

Well I'm surprised no-one else has said this… yes, I agree that it's very useful, but that huge sticker is annoying when it appears on almost every page I visit :\ It was on the blog, it's on the main page of this forum, and on a few other pages as well — I can't escape it! :)

When I saw the sticker I kind of LOLd but Steven, one has to imagine ten people doing this, and you will see why it's a bad idea. Let's stick to the rule that sites like this have to treat all participants equally, meaning you can't advertise specific threads on the main page except in ways that are open & fair to everyone.
I.e. if you do need a way to promote high interest topics (which is a subjective concept) then design a mechanism that works for everyone and which can scale. I'm thinking, maybe a news or chatter section on the forum.
And please discuss such things with the other site admins first. Discuss first, then implement, then discuss again, that is the standard pattern for successful collaboration.
