This is a design sketch for "Site Branding", which lets you distance your wiki from the Wikidot community and branding. This is a feature for paying users: free sites take part in the community.
Design
Site Branding will be a new panel in the Site Manager that allows the administrator to localize various aspects of the site:
- Local karma, whereby members' karma is calculated for that site only.
- Local profiles, in some category, whereby members' profile pages are stored on that site and not on http://profiles.wikidot.com/profile: Implemented
- Branded notifications: customizing the subject, header and footer of emails sent to watchers.
- Branded sign on screen: customizing the text and CSS of the sign in popup.
- Branded signatures, so users can create per-site signatures.
- The ability to disable custom signatures on users' comments. Possible, but only by using custom CSS.
- The ability to disable avatars and karma bars on the site. Implemented, but is not under the "Site Branding".
- Sending a notification from a site to all its members. Implemented, but is not under the "Site Branding".
